FAQ : Do dropshipping

More than a choice of supplier, you need to make a choice of partner.

To find the best possible partner, we suggest you look for a structure with:

  • Recognised expertise
  • Proven financial stability
  • A compelling product catalogue
  • State-of-the-art logistics

To meet all these criteria, there is only one answer: Octopia Products!

We support our clients so that they have the right information and answers for their customers as quickly as possible.

We handle all types of after-sales situations (reference errors, damaged products, breakdowns, 2-year legal warranty, etc.).

The only thing that is not covered by our dropshipping solution, Octopia Products, is your customer’s right to retract their order.

To launch your dropshipping business with Octopia Products, make sure you have the following in place:

  • A registered business and a valid Intracommunity VAT number

  • An active credit card (if you choose this payment method)

  • The ability to connect your e-commerce site to our product catalogue via SFTP
This usually requires help from a web developer on your side. Without this setup, you won’t be able to automatically import new products or keep prices and stock levels updated in real time.

Dropshipping gives you the freedom to decide which product categories you want to focus on, and which offers you want to publish on your own website and via other sales channels.

Whatever your online business strategy: niche or generalist, it’s important to carry out product research to get a clear idea of which categories or products sell best. There are tools available to help you identify which products or categories are most popular according to the seasons.

Our catalogue gives you access to over 25,000 products divided into several categories, such as: home, telephones, computers, sports, appliances, toys, video games, garden, image and sound, DIY, children’s products, etc.

Dropshipping is an order fulfillment method that enables a seller to launch a business without having to manage product inventory and shipping.

In this way, the retailer sells the product on their own website or on a marketplace, then transmits the order to a third-party supplier (Octopia Products, for example), who takes care of the logistics and dispatches the order to the end customer.

Dropshipping therefore involves three parties:

  • the end customer or buyer
  • the dealer or distributor
  • the supplier (Octopia Products)
